Breathe in…
Wendy Fast, M.S., Ed. Personal Yoga Teacher
Wendy fell in love with yoga at age 43, over 12 years ago and has never looked back. She continues to learn and grow all aspects of her practice and finds no greater joy than sharing yoga with others.
She has experienced first hand the healing benefits of yoga. After sustaining a pelvic fracture at 50 years old in 2013, Wendy was able to fully recover and heal both the physical and emotional damage of that event through the modalities of yoga.
This experience sealed the deal for her with yoga, making her a lifelong practitioner and prompting her to obtain her 200 hour yoga teacher training under the guidance of Greg Fine at Fuel The Soul in Merrick, NY in 2016. Since then, Wendy has been guiding group and private classes for practitioners of all abilities and ages. Her classes include attention to breath, mindful movement and a focus on what feels right in your body. Her classes are challenging, tempered with her compassionate and warm teaching style. She is well versed in anatomy and focuses on cultivating an inner mind body awareness to prevent injury.
Wendy has continued to develop her teaching skills by completing the YMedica Rewind Gold: Successful Aging, Yoga for Boomers and Seniors.
Wendy is also currently working with Brandt Passalaqua through Breathing Deeply towards her certificate in Yoga Therapy.
Wendy is a devotee of Kundalini Yoga, the yoga of awareness, as well as a practitioner of a variety of yogic and Buddhist meditation techniques.
She is a retired NYC Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped, is a NYS licensed teacher and holds her Master’s Degree in Education.

I truly enjoy and look forward to attending your yoga classes as you always teach new and innovative moves that are explained thoroughly. You provide differentiations for a variety of yoga levels and time is given to get into each pose with care. Furthermore, your cues are useful in helping to know what to focus on in each pose. There are very thoughtful comments to help in developing mindfulness and clarity of vision. By having a focus for each class allows me to be aware of progressing slowly on the area of concentration for each class. It has been my pleasure to watch and be apart of your growth as an amazing yoga teacher.
